It’s about time we renewed our user guide to keep you up to date with new additions to our platform or to simply talk you through some features you may have missed. It’s pretty self-explanatory but still worth spelling out in four steps.
1. Register and sign up
Probably the easiest step, pop in your details by clicking on the top right corner. Choose your username wisely so you don’t end up with some cringy name haunting you for the rest of your artistic career. If anything, keep it consistent. If you’re on social media or you have a website, make it simple for your followers and stick to the same name or a similar variant so that it’s quick and easy to search for you.
2. Upload your work
Next step is the upload. Click on the circular icon to the right of the navigation toolbar. Note the “Print Your Own” button allows you to print your uploads privately. If you click on the “Sell” you can upload your artwork publicly and start earning money. All the requirements are outlined on the page but it’s worth repeating that your images must be at least 800 pixels and under 100MB, in a JPEG or PNG format. Pretty standard.
Also worth noting, YOU RETAIN FULL OWNERSHIP OF YOUR IMAGE. The artwork you see on our website is reduced to a low resolution version and the original is kept on our servers. You’re completely free to take your stuff down at any time. Be sensible when you upload your work, no rude pictures nor nicking other people’s work otherwise we’ll take measure (AHA!).
3. Get socialising
miPic has its own social network in the “Followers” section. You can follow other people’s artwork and vice versa, which you can check out in the miPic App feed. Additionally, we’ve kindly set up four push buttons that allow you to share your uploads to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Scroll below to share a specific product with your selected image, click the share buttons and voila! Getting your artwork out there on social media is key if you want to make yourself noticed. We’ll go over this soon in another post on improving your traffic and generating more sales via miPic.
4. Watch the pennies drop
It’ll all make sense when you get your first sale. You’ll get a push notification telling you what you’ve sold and how much you’ve earned! The money will be collected in your miPic account, which you can withdraw by linking it up to a PayPal account. As always, you receive up to 20% depending on the product that is sold. Remember to keep the momentum going by promoting your work and building a relationship with your audience.
As always, we’re up for suggestions and feedback to improve our service, so feel free to email us and we’ll take note of your advice. Please email us if you have any more questions at [email protected]

Hello people or MiPic
I uploaded some pics today in your platform, and I was wondering if you guys make sure that my pics are viewed by other people or I’m the one who has to make publicity for my self?
Hi Ernesto
Thanks for reaching out. Any pictures that haven’t been flagged by our team as inappropriate are available for customers to view and purchase. To get yourself noticed we recommend adding relevant tags, and putting your pictures in the correct theme. The miPic platform enables you to share your pictures across social platforms, and our best sellers have built strong communities on platforms like Instagram to drive customers to their miPic shop. Hope that helps.
Hi,
I was just wondering, we get 20% of the commission, but where does the other 80% of the commission go? And also, do the owners of this website have access and rights to my photos?
-K
Hi Karishma
Thanks for the question.
All artists receive up to 20% commission for uploading to miPic. The remaining commissions is split largely across the manufacturing and logistics of making and delivering your print product to a global customer base.
In regards to ownership of images. You retain full rights of your images and are free to delete them from the platform at anytime. You can read more details in our t&c section here.
Feel free to contact [email protected] if you have any other questions.

How do I delete a picture? Also how do I view a picture that I did not make public.
Hi Jay
Thanks for the question. Our support team have responded to your queries through email.

Hi,
What does it mean by ‘location’ for my pic? At the moment I’ve just put where I am located but I have absolutely no idea what I’m supposed to put there.
Also, why do we have to put our location?
Hi Mya,
In regards to the ‘Location’ field, this represents a location you would like to assign your photo with – this could be where the photo was taken or a location the art is associated with.
Best regards,
Sam
Hi,
When will tote bags be back in stock please? I have customers wanting to order.
Thanks,
Louise
Hi Louise
We are working to get these live as soon as we can.
At the moment it still looks like two weeks as we move to a new manufacturer.
Kind Regards
Sam
