Our latest artist feature shines the spotlight on Balinese artist, Herri Susanto. Under the name of Nak_Bali_, his digital art has been a big favourite within the miPic community ever since he joined. Mind bending perspectives showcase original locations reminiscent of a Christopher Nolan film.
How did you find miPic?
I came across miPic on Instagram, and saw artists selling their artwork. I wanted to get involved.
How did you come up with your artist name?
My artist name (nak_bali_) is from Balinese language, it means Balinese People. I just wanted people to know that I‘m from Bali.
Who are your artistic references/influences?
I have a lot influences that I know on instagram, like @eye.c @eric_joh @Charlie_davoli and many more
Where do you feel most inspired to create your work?
I always make my artwork in my home, I never make it outside my home.
What is your favourite social platform?
My favourite is Instagram
Which of your pieces is most meaningful to you and what’s the story behind it?
I really love “Drop Every Fear“. I just wanted to say, fear can’t stop me getting to my dream
Who do you dream to collaborate with?
For now i don’t have an idea to collaborate with, I really enjoyed to make an artworks by myself.
Is creating art / taking photos your full time job? If not, what do you do 9 till 5?
No, creating art is just a hobby. I open a little store in my town.

I really like 80’s artworks from Picwizard
What music are you listening to right now?
I listen Jason Mraz, Maroon5 and Balinese local Band called Navicula
